FITTING PROCESS

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1

SCHEDULE A FITTING

Select fitting type (this determines the length), date and time.

We offer six different golf club fitting options from a single club to the entire bag. Count on about an hour to fit a single club and up to four hours for an entire bag.

  • Driver fitting
  • Fairway / hybrid fitting
  • Iron fitting
  • Wedge fitting
  • Putter fitting
  • Full bag fitting

You can select one of the above or combine them to suit your requirements.

Step 2

EXPERIENCE YOUR CLUB FITTING

  • Bring the golf clubs you’d like to work on. Also, remember to bring your golf shoes and glove.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your fitting so you have enough time to stretch and warm up.
  • Your Master Fitter will assess your current equipment. Using the data gathered with TrackMan 4, the Master Fitter will let you test different head and shaft combinations, and these will be compared to your current equipment.
  • Once the best combination is found the fitter will discuss the results and specifications with you.

Step 3

RECOMMENDATION

  • Next comes the recommendation for your best combination of club head, shaft, and grip.
  • Each component of your fitting will be explained and verified with launch monitor data.
  • Your fitter will also provide a detailed fitting report which includes your recommended equipment, the prescribed build specifications, and a report from your launch monitor data.

Step 4

DECIDE AND BUY

At this point, you should have all the data you need to make an informed decision.

  • Swing and ball flight analysis figures “Before” and “after” club performance numbers
  • Detailed spec sheet of recommended clubs, shafts and grips
  • Price quote with the costs of all components clearly spelled out
  • You are under no obligation to purchase. Choose as many or as few custom fitted clubs as you’d like; we can even make adjustments to your existing clubs if you prefer.

Step 5

Accept and build

Once you have accepted the quote and made payment, your custom clubs are built. We will update you on the date of completion. You can opt to collect or have them delivered to you free of charge.

CLUB BUILDING PROCESS

HOW IT WORKS

Our Master Builders will hand assemble each of your clubs to the tightest tolerances without exception.

Step 1

Component selection

All components are weighed, sorted, and matched to the Spec sheet. Next the shafts are cut down the specified length and frequency matched.

Step 2

Dry Build

The Master builder will now swing weight the club, next all clubs are pieced together with a high strength epoxy adhesive. They are left to cure until the epoxy is dry. Next, the ferrules are turned and polished. In the final building stage, the grips are installed.

Step 3

Loft and lie bending

The clubs are now bent to the precise loft and lie measurements and shaft labels are applied.

Step 4

Quality check

Clubs are cleaned and checked against their intended specs before being collected or shipped to their new owner.

If you believe your new clubs are not performing to your expectations at any time within 30 days after receipt, we ask that you please reach out to our customer service team by phone or email. We will work to provide a solution that meets or surpasses your expectations as represented in your initial fitting through your launch monitor report. If after exhausting all measures to ensure your new clubs perform as promised and no other solution can be found, we will accept a return on your purchase.

Please understand our Performance Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Products that have been damaged, personalized or modified in any way.
  • Clubs that have been altered from The Golf Lab’s original build specifications.
  • Orders built by any company other than The Golf Lab.
